Les Jamelles - (France)

Les Jamelles logo

The concept of Les Jamelles is unique for each grape variety is the ideal conditions found in an area that stretches from Nimes to Carcassonne, so its typicity is perfectly displayed as its original source. Since 1991 Les Jamelles is produced by Catherine and Laurent Delaunay. These are two young winemakers from Burgundy whose family has been producing wine for four generations. After their work in California, they both fell for the charms of the Languedoc-Roussillon region (southern France). Throughout the year, especially during harvest periods, Catherine travels throughout the region and they visit all the producers who work with Les Jamelles. They coordinate the vinification process, the maturation of the wines and the production of the various blends. Catherine is a real "maître", passionate about the art of wine tasting and on top of responsibility for the quality of each of the Les Jamelles wines.

Clear and limpid, with a lovely golden colour, aromas of apricots, pears and green apples, notes of walnuts and hazelnuts, a hint of white flowers, and a slightly buttery finish. It has subtle and well-integrated notes of vanilla oak, combined with a slightly lemony note.

The bubbles are fine and long-lasting, rising like a delicate strand of pearls to form a narrow ribbon of mousse along the sides of the glass. This sparkling wine, with its lovely greenish-gold colour boasting brilliant highlights, features lovely vivacity on the nose and is redolent of delicious aromas of tropical fruits (mango) and dried apricot as well as buttery notes of brioche. The flavours on the palate are refreshing and finish on a slightly mentholated note.

Beautiful dark red color. Complex and very intense perfumes . Round, rich and long, concentrated with powerful but ripe tannins, very silky in the finish. Expressive, well balanced despite its power. On the palate we find the aromas of fruit alcohol but also liquorice.

Lovely intense cherry red colour and a velvety appearance. It has complex and very intense aromas of blackcurrant, crystallized tomato and red pepper highlighted by slight hints of pepper and coffee.
