Deep, dark red color with purple reflections. Intense nose of red and black fruit accompanied by more earthy and spicy aromas. Black and red currants, black cherries and strawberry with hints of Provencal herbs and black pepper. Robust style with beautifully refined tannins and a remarkable balance. Long and characterful finish.
This Garnacha showcases the wild character of its surroundings and therefore calls for characterful meat dishes such as roe deer, matured entrecote, leg of lamb and spicy stews.

They are about the same latitude as Priorat and Terra Alta but have more of a continental climate with Mediterranean influences than the other way around. Warm dry summers and cold winters with minimal rainfall.

The vineyards are located at an altitude between 700 and 1000m and consist of lime and clay. The age of the vines is on average around 40 years old and they just grow like bush vines with very low yields.

The wild Garnacha is only picked in the 2nd week of October. Strict selection and limited yields. After the maceration, the fermentation is started with local yeasts. The wine then rests for another 5 months in a mix of cement tanks and wooden barrels.
