Château Saint Pierre de Corbian - Bordeaux Collection (France)

The Lacaze family of the famous Château Saint-Paul (Haut-Médoc) bought another estate in Saint-Estèphe in 2009. In 2010, they left their foot print with their first year. In Wine Decider he immediately got 93/100 .. more than he ever had! Mr Lacaze is, of course, of all trades: next to wine maker, he is also the number one supplier of candles for the pilgrimage town of Lourdes! The vineyards include only 4 Ha and are actually vineyards of Saint-Paul located in the territory of Saint-Estèphe that used to go to the Cave of Saint-Estèphe. As this was one of the best terroirs of the appellation, it was decided to win it. Since 2012, he obtained his Cru Bourgeois status. The famous oenologist Stéphane Derenoncourt is consultant wine maker. 50% of the wine is stored on new oak for 12 months. The grape blend is exactly 50% cabernet and 50% merlot. As an emerging talent, it is still a bargain for Médoc standards for the time being. But with a promising international press this might change soon.
